A little bit about us
My wife, Kelli, and I are interested in a nanny share with someone locally for our 9 month old son, Julian. He's healthy, energetic and highly social. Daycare has been a struggle for us between all of the colds and his nap schedule. We're thinking the nanny share route may be a more reliable and improved experience over daycare.
Thank you,

A little bit about us
We’re a family of four with two little ones, one starting kindergarten and one starting pre-K this fall, plus a friendly orange cat who is part of the crew too. We live in Novi.
I’m a nurse and just moved into a new role with a rotating schedule, so our routine looks a little different than most families. I work 12-hour shifts, some days (7am-7:30pm) and some nights (7pm-7:30am), scheduled in 4-week blocks, roughly half days and half nights, plus a couple weekend shifts each month.
On the days I’m working days, I need help getting the kids up, fed, and out the door to school, then picked up and looked after until I’m home for dinner. On the days I’m working nights, I need someone to come around 5:30pm to help with dinner, baths, and bedtime, then stay overnight, and on school mornings get the kids ready (maybe even drop them off) until I get home from my shift. On my scheduled weekend shifts I’d need someone for the full day or overnight, depending which one it is.
There’s also some light pet care involved (treats, pets).
Because of the schedule, we really need someone serious about committing long term, not just looking for something short term or flexible on their end. We’re also hoping to find someone active and engaged with the kids: playing, crafts, outside time, reading, that kind of thing, rather than a lot of screen time. Reliability and genuinely wanting to be part of their day matters a lot to us.
