This job requires you to have a vehicle that can fit three booster seats (provided by us). I fit all three in the second row of my Chevy Blazer. You will need a similar sized SUV or larger.
We’re looking for a dependable, caring, and organized afterschool nanny to help our family during the school year.
Location:
Pleasant Ridge/Royal Oak, MI
Start date (flexible):
- On or anytime after August 17th
Schedule:
- Afternoons, Monday–Friday 2:45pm-5pm
- Additional hours may be available on school breaks, half days, or occasional evenings if interested.
Responsibilities:
- Pick up our three children (ages 4, 6, and 7) from school.
- Safely transport them home in your own vehicle. Three booster seats will be provided by us, so your vehicle must be able to safely accommodate all three.
- Supervise the kids until we return home from work.
- Help with homework as needed.
- Serve an afternoon snack and keep the kids engaged with play, crafts, or outdoor activities.
- Wash any dishes left in the sink and tidy up the kitchen and main living areas so the house is picked up at the end of the day.
Qualifications:
- Reliable, punctual, and nurturing.
- Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
- Own a safe, reliable vehicle that can fit three booster seats.
- Previous childcare experience and references preferred.

A little bit about us
A little about our baby/needs: My husband and I are looking for a part-time nanny to help care for our sweet baby girl beginning in January, when she will be 5 months old. We hope to find someone interested in a long-term position (2.5–3 years).
Schedule: 2 days per week (expect recurring days and ideally Thursday and Friday, but can be flexible for the right person) from 8:30 AM–4:30 PM (guaranteed 16 hours per week)
Primary Responsibilities: Infant care (feedings, diaper changes, playtime, reading, naps), washing bottles, light tidying, and baby laundry
We do not have any pets. Please note that my husband works from a home office 100% of the time (unless he is traveling for work which is infrequent and approximately every 3 months), but our house has plenty of space for privacy and playing!
A little about us: I am a physician assistant and my husband works in finance/tech sales. We are very active people who prioritize our health and wellness and love traveling and being outdoors. We live in a wonderful neighborhood near the zoo and love our community. There’s a park with a playground at the end of our street and we have unlimited access to the community pool in the summer.
Requirements: CPR-certified, fully vaccinated, reliable transportation, non-smoker, willing to undergo a background check and provide references.
