A little bit about us
Our home is calm, creative, and inspired by a gentle, Montessori approach to parenting. We’re less about strict routines and more about presence - giving our son the space to explore, ask, notice, and grow without rushing toward outcomes. We believe the quality of attention matters most.
We also have one affectionate Australian Shepherd, so comfort around dogs is a must.
What We’re Looking For:
• Experience with toddlers (18+ months)
• 2 full days/week (9AM–5PM), with potential for additional hours Mon/Wed afternoons
• Comfortable with dogs
• Gentle, grounded, and reliable caregiver
• Help with light household tasks (dishes, laundry, tidying up)
What We Offer:
• Competitive hourly rate, paid weekly or bi-weekly
• Guaranteed hours
• Paid holidays
• A thoughtful, respectful home where your presence and care are valued
Extra Points If You:
• Have CPR certification
• Speak a second language
• Are familiar with Montessori or gentle/respectful parenting
• Find joy in simply being with a child as they discover the world
If you’re someone who values presence over pressure, and connection over control, we’d love to meet you.
Be well,
Ryan, Kari, and Hunter Hoover

A little bit about us
We are Leo (6), Miles (4), Leila and Drew. We have been in Asheville for 17 years and operate a few independent restaurants in town. The Admiral, The Bull and Beggar, Leo's House of Thirst and Baby Bull. We often get overwhelmed with the juggle of running the small business's and being present with our boys. We have a longstanding relationship with a nanny on Thursdays but would be seeking help a few other days a week. Ideally from pickup to bedtime, and sometimes with just one of the boys so we can have some independent time with the other. Looking forward to hearing from you!

A little bit about us
Your main role would be picking her up from daycare and spending time with her at our apartment until 6:30 PM.
Your journey each day starts from your home, and we'll compensate you for the travel time beginning at 4 PM.
We are currently residing in Asheville for a short period (3 months), as Gabrielle is working at the VA Medical Center. Aaron, on most days, will take care of Ryleigh's morning routine and drop her off at daycare. However, there will be occasions when Aaron is out of town, and during these times, we would need your assistance starting at 6:45 AM. On these days, your responsibilities would include both the morning drop-off and the evening routine until Gabrielle returns home. We would do our absolute best to give you advanced notice.
To sum it up:
Regular hours: Pickup at daycare by 4 PM and care until 6:30 PM on weekdays, with travel time compensated.
On days Aaron is away: Start at 6:45 AM for daycare drop-off, then the usual pickup and care until 6:30 PM.
We value clear communication and reliability, and we look forward to welcoming you into our family’s routine for the duration of our stay in Asheville.

Interviewing for a Housekeeper Nanny Position in Asheville, NC
After talking to a few employers, you’ll be invited for a housekeeping nanny job interview. Here are a few housekeeping nanny interview questions to prepare for:
- What qualities do you have that make you a good housekeeping nanny?
- What do you enjoy about looking after a home?
- How many years of experience do you have with house cleaning?
In a housekeeping nanny job interview, you’ll have the opportunity to provide your nanny references and ask any questions that you would like to know about them. If you decide after this interview that you would like to continue, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can ensure that you’re getting off on the right foot with your future employer.
