We will welcome a baby girl into our family this May and I could use some help for a few hours during the week on M/W/F (Luke will be at preschool then - so just the baby $15/hour) and also some weekends and evenings for date nights (both kids - $20/hour) Our home is clean, we have a friendly cat named Ralphie and we are looking for a special person to love Luke and our new baby in this season.

We are a family with 6 children ages 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, and 8. I (mom) homeschool our three school age children. Our home runs on a schedule and yet somehow is always crazy. Madeline, our 2 year old, was adopted out of foster care, and has severe intellectual and physical disabilities. She requires constant care and monitoring. Ellie, our baby, was also adopted, and has mild developmental and physical delays. Both girls are in therapies that are 30-45 minutes each. I am hoping to hire someone who can assist me day to day as a mother’s helper for the children, care for our older kids when I take the youngest 2 children to therapy, and play with Madeline when I need to do school work with the older children. Time frame we most need is Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30-12pm, and I’d like to also have someone on Mondays and/or Wednesdays. Special needs experience is preferred, but I’m happy to provide on the job training. We can pay $12-15 an hour. Our summer nanny does homework for college classes when the babies are napping, and I’m totally open to that moving forward.

We run a strict schedule and after the initial run through, my kids are actually pretty easy to work with. My son can be challenging at times. I work during week 9-6 with some exceptions. There are three to four times a year I have a business trip over night two to three days and once a month I have to work till 9.

Our 9 year old needs someone full of fun energy, but who is structured, has routine and can set and keep firm boundaries for behavior. Our children are VERY active, and we would like to limit screen time while you are here, focusing on energy outlets, creativity and fun!
We also would like someone who is willing to help with light housekeeping such as doing dishes, wiping counters and generally helping the kids pick up after themselves.
