My name is Tessa and I have been working with children since I was 12 years old. I have a daughter myself, she is nearly 4 years old.
I have 9 years professional experience as a doula/nanny. I have experience implementing Montessori and Waldorf homeschool curriculum. I am trained through DONA as a postpartum doula and I have my BLS CPR certification. I also drive a safe and reliable SUV.
This past spring, I finished my bachelors of science degree in Applied Psychology from Oregon Tech. I am a trained International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.
I am available 2-3 days a week and on weekends. A start time around 8:00 am and an end time before 2:30 pm is preferred. I look forward to meeting you and your family!

A little bit about me
Aside from helping raise my younger siblings, I began taking care of non-related children 20 years ago as a babysitter after school, for date nights, and as a full-time summer job. I have been working with and caring for children professionally since 2009, starting as an Assistant Teacher at two different Preschools and Daycare Centers, which lead me to the wonderful transition of becoming a private nanny. I have experience with children of all ages (from newborns to preteens), and I value the health, safety, and comfort of the child(ren) under my care above all else.

Common Responsibilities of Housekeeper Nannies in Astoria, OR
When evaluating if a housekeeping nanny is right for your family, it’s important to consider what makes housekeeping nannies distinct from nannies. Both a housekeeping nanny and a nanny are responsible for creating a safe and stimulating environment. These responsibilities can include organizing activities, preparing meals, handling child-related errands as well as others. However, a housekeeping nanny usually takes on cleaning and maintenance for the entire home and family. In contrast, a nanny focuses exclusively on cleaning for the children such as the playroom, children's laundry, etc. A housekeeping nanny offers these services to the entire home and family, including laundry, cleaning bathrooms, mopping, and vacuuming.
A housekeeping nanny can be a full-time, part-time, or live-in position. It is essential to take these factors into account when determining how much you should pay a housekeeping nanny.
