A little bit about us

Hi! I’m a single mom to a sweet infant daughter and the owner of a growing pet care company. I’m looking for a reliable, compassionate nanny who can become a consistent part of our little team. This position is best described as a nanny/mother’s helper role, where childcare is the primary responsibility while also helping keep our home running smoothly.

Care would primarily be for my daughter while I attend business appointments, meetings, errands, and occasional work commitments. The position will average approximately 15-20 hours per week, with schedules provided in advance and the potential for additional hours as my business grows. I am also preparing to return to school so some hours may include evenings depending on class schedule.

Responsibilities include providing attentive, engaging care, bottle feeding, diaper changes, age-appropriate play and developmental activities, and putting her down for naps. During naps or downtime, I’d appreciate light household tasks as needed, such as washing bottles, tidying toys, folding baby laundry, loading or unloading the dishwasher, wiping counters, and other light housekeeping that helps support our daily routine. No deep cleaning or heavy housekeeping is expected.

We have a pet-friendly home, so being comfortable around animals is a must, though pet care is not part of the position. I’m hoping to find someone dependable, trustworthy, and kind who wants to build a long-term relationship with our family. Good communication, reliability, and a genuine love for children are very important to me.

What is an Infant Nanny in Bay Minette, AL

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Bay Minette, AL? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
