A little bit about us

We have a beautiful little family full of twins! (2 sets to be exact) The oldest set are Lila and Logan and they will be 6 years old this coming August. The youngest set are a little over 1 month old and their names are Kyleigh and Karleigh. My husband and I work and have opposite schedules. I typically work 3 days a week (week days and weekends) at night from 7p-7a while my husband works 7a-3p on week days. So we are basically needing someone to fill in the gap for us during the days where our schedules interfere with each other. Specifically in the mornings on school days from about 6a-10a. During this time the older twins will need help getting ready for school(putting in clothes and preparing breakfast before they go) and getting to the bus stop on time. This usually takes place before I get home in the mornings because work can sometimes run a little late. Lila and Logan attend two different schools so Lila will get on the bus earlier than Logan who gets on later in the afternoon around roughly 12:30p. However, I’m not sure what the bus schedule is for the upcoming school year just yet so that will be determined at a later date. As far as the little twins, all that will be needed is feeding(formula/breastmilk), diaper changes and helping to put them down for a nap so that I can rest when I get home from work.

What is an Infant Nanny in Crown Point, IN

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Crown Point, IN? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
