Nanny/Childcare Position – Holbrook, MA

We are looking for a new nanny/childcare provider for our daughter, who will be turning 2 in October. Our current nanny is unfortunately leaving due to family circumstances, so we are looking for the right person to join our family. We are hoping to have someone start within the next two weeks.

📍 Holbrook, MA
🕙 Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–3:00 PM

The regular schedule is 10:00 AM–3:00 PM. There may occasionally be adjustments when I have an outside commitment or outing, but these are not frequent. We have a set weekly pay arrangement, so occasional schedule changes on either side do not change the weekly pay. We are looking for someone reliable and consistent, as frequent call-outs would not be a good fit.

Responsibilities include:

Caring for our daughter and following her established routine
Local outings, activities, and play
Light general household cleaning and upkeep
Helping keep the home clean and organized
Preparing simple meals/snacks for our daughter as needed

We offer competitive pay, paid holidays, and paid time off. We value our childcare provider and want to create a respectful, consistent, and long-term working relationship. Serious inquiries only. References, a clean driving record, and a background check are required.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Holbrook, MA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
