A little bit about us

Hi there!
We are a warm, busy family looking for a nurturing, reliable, and energetic nanny to care for our two sons (ages 2 years and 6 months). We’re hoping to find someone with strong infant experience who is also confident managing two young children.

We plan to have our 2-year-old in a part-time school program, and we’d love a nanny who can reinforce what he’s learning through play, reading, and age-appropriate activities. For both children, we value someone who is engaged, attentive to developmental milestones, and enjoys spending time outdoors.

What we’re looking for:

* Experience with infants and multiple children
* Warm, patient, and proactive personality
* CPR/First Aid certified
* Non-smoker
* Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
* References

Responsibilities include:

* Providing attentive, loving care for both children
* Planning age-appropriate activities and supporting development
* Tracking milestones and daily routines
* Light housekeeping and meal prep related to the children
* Getting outside regularly for fresh air and play

My husband travels frequently for work, so occasional evening support would be a big plus.

We also have a friendly Shih Tzu, so comfort with dogs is important.

We’re really looking for someone who will feel like an extension of our family and bring a positive, caring presence into our home.

A little bit about us

We are located in Bloomfield Hills and looking for a part-time nanny for our three small boys (4, 3, 10 months), although care will primarily be for the 10 month old since the older two are in school full or part time. Looking for someone to grow with and become an extension of our family. Very flexible but ballpark is 20 hours/wk, and can work with the right fit on schedule but ideally looking for someone who can do full days on Tues/Thurs and at least another 1-2 afternoons per week. Date nights a big plus!

Someone who truly enjoys small children and loves to play, is both energetic and patient, likes getting outside for fresh air, and can be silly/playful with the boys would be a great fit.

Very competitive pay based on experience.

A little bit about us

Seeking experienced nanny Fridays only for our three-month-old baby girl at our home to start as soon as we find the right match. We are planning for a long term position until Eleanor goes to pre-school and hopefully extending to a second child by then. We fortunately already found a wonderful nanny for Monday-Thursday.

Standard hours would be Friday 8am to 5pm. Pay flexible depending on experience starting at $20 per hour.

Our ideal candidate:
-Reliable, fun personality, engaging, responsible
-Experience with infants and can provide references
-CPR and first aid certified for babies/children
-Willing to complete a background check
-Up to date on routine vaccinations (TDAP, Covid, flu)
-Non-smoker, does not vape

Your primary responsibility will be maintaining a healthy and safe environment for Eleanor while engaging her in age-appropriate activities as she grows and learns. For now that’s tummy time, play, reading, and walks. When she’s older, visits to a park, art projects, or going to the local library. We want a nanny who will partner with us as we learn how our baby grows, what she needs, and how to adjust over time (eating, sleeping, play).

Other baby-related tasks would include the following: baby's laundry, prepping food/bottles and cleaning/sanitizing bottles, cleaning up toys/tidying play areas, facilitating naps, keeping areas of kitchen clean that are used for baby.

We are two working professionals. I work from home and my husband goes to the office. We have a separate office from the common spaces in the home. We can discuss how to give you space and autonomy while also allowing for connection with Eleanor intermittently throughout the day. We hope to create a family environment inclusive of our nanny. We have no pets.

A little bit about us

Hi, we're a loving, laid-back family looking for some help with our two kind, energetic kids. We're incredibly welcoming and flexible, but we're also very COVID-cautious (we have some family members that are immunocompromised, so we need to be.) Therefore, because this crazy time we live in, we often find ourselves asking about vaccinations and boosters before even getting to share all of the things that make our family an ideal fit for a nanny - a new member of our family that we would welcome with open arms. We take your profession seriously, compensate you as a professional, and would always treat you with respect. We look forwarding to meeting anyone interested.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Bloomfield Hills, MI

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Bloomfield Hills, MI

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Bloomfield Hills, MI? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
