A little bit about us

My husband and I both work from home, he's a software engineer and I'm a student advisor for a study abroad company and we recently had our first kid last December! Her name is Lyra (pronounced lie-rah), and she's a mild tempered, calm, and happy baby. We're moving to Grand Rapids in late June and looking for some help with Lyra three days a week as I only work four days a week, and we have Grandma every Monday. Looking forward to meeting you!

A little bit about us

We are looking for an experienced nanny for our 3 month old daughter, Jasmyn. We currently live in a 2BR apt in downtown GR and my wife works from home. The plan is to buy a home in the Grand Rapids area sometime this summer. We are looking for someone to start in early April as that is when my mom will be leaving us. It is important that our nanny have a great deal of experience with newborns. Primary responsibilities will consist of getting her down for naps, feeding, changing, and play time. While Jasmyn is asleep, we would ask that you help out around the apt with light housekeeping (doing dishes, folding laundry, etc). Currently, we are looking for 3 days a week (Tues, weds, and Thurs 8am-4pm) but would consider full time. Happy to pay cash. Please let me know if this is something you feel you might be a good fit for.

A little bit about us

I work Monday through Friday 6:30 to 3 (most days) and my significant other works from home but it has just become to much work for him trying to multitask taking care of our 8 month old and running his business. We’re looking for someone from 8am to 3pm roughly. It would be ideal to have someone Monday through Friday but we will take what we can get honestly lol if you could only make a couple days work. If you ever did run into any issues you could always bother my husband but honestly we have the happiest and most chill baby. Most days should be pretty easy :)

A little bit about us

Hello, I am currently looking for some part time help with my 14 month old son. I am looking for help on Friday's from 8:30 until 5:30 pm.
My son is such a happy boy. He loves music time, loves his mini drum and piano and dances away any time Disney songs are playing. He is truly a blessing in my life and finding somebody who is passionate for kids is my number one goal for my little guy.
I am located on the NW part of Grand Rapids.

What is an Infant Nanny in Grand Rapids, MI

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Grand Rapids, MI? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
