A little bit about us
I’m easy going, my kids are happy and they are used to a routine. I currently use daycare, but it’s really hard with kids getting sick and plus my son is the only one his age in his class, so he’s with 8 other babies under 1 and he’s just really overwhelmed and bored of playing by himself. He loved it when he had other kids to play with. I want them to be able to go places and do stuff, I’ll pay for memberships, outings, etc. I travel quite a bit so there will be some time off, I understand you’ll still need paid so that it doesn’t affect your income.
I’m a single mom.
I’m needing care Monday through Friday 9am-5pm We do not have any pets but we love them. I’m a pretty clean person. I would want my house to be picked up, I’ll do the major cleaning, just need it maintained as much as possible during the day and please don’t allow the toddler to color the walls, eat in the front room, etc. He is a good kid, he has toddler meltdowns but then he says “oh sorry” and snaps out of it. lol.
I want someone who CARES about kids, I feel like that “love” is lost at a daycare because they are so busy with other kids and the staff are always new, so the kids don’t get to form a bond with them. I would want this nanny to be a part of our family. Ideally a nanny share would be best so that the kids have some social interactions with other children. At my house or their house, or possibly like a mix of both.
Must be fun but firm, have at least 2 years of experience, have your own car, pass a background check, random UA’s, CPR and First aid certified, making the kids healthy meals and keeping them on a routine.
Thank you for reading about our family and we’re looking forward to meeting you.

Kinley is my rough and tumble but very shy and sensible son. Kollyn is a complete love bug and follows her brother everywhere. Kayden, is the sweet and easy baby sister. Though she can fart like a grown man.
We’re flexible but we’re looking for half day of care (12-5) two or three days a week.
Preschool for the four-year-old (Kollyn) ends at noon, then school ends for the seven-year-old (Kinley) at 3:15. You would need to be able to drive, though we do have vehicles you could use.
There’s a 6 week old, but she stays with me most of the time so her care would be rare and up for discussion.
We have no pets and live on a small property, so outdoor play is an easy option. You’ll be off before dinner so you can skip all the school day prepping.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Salem, OR
If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.
What is an Infant Nanny in Salem, OR
An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.
Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position
Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:
- What is your specific experience with this age group?
- Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Salem, OR? Are you willing to be trained?
- How do you handle a crying baby?
- How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
- What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
- How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
- What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?
You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
