A little bit about us

Hi, we are the Yarznbowicz family. We are looking for a live-in nanny. We have two sweet kids- 3 year old girl who is goofy, fun, and full toddler energy and a baby boy just born. Both kids will go to school 5 days per week from 9am-5pm, however my husband and I are both in the medical field and have variable schedules every month which makes childcare very difficult. We previously had an Au Pair nanny live with us the last year who just moved on, so we need a replacement to start in June when I come off maternity leave. Our work hours are unpredictable but would involve needing help to drop-off and pick-up kids from school M-F. Plus/minus some weekends. Plus/minus some overnights and early morning hours depending on our schedules. Also need someone available in case one kid gets sick and can’t go to school that day. Our life revolves around residency training currently so we need someone reliable and fully available to living with us, similar to an Au Pair situation. Further details such as free rent, car availability, and pay can be discussed. Message if interested.

A little bit about us

Hello,

I am a single parent, career mom I have a 2-year-old and expecting another this girl coming October 2023. Looking for a nanny M-F typically an 8-5 schedule during my work hours for my toddler as of now and then both girls when that time comes. My ideal choice will have strong background with children, family oriented, enjoys doing activities both play/learning and previous experience with referrals. I do plan to take 2 months ML so I will be around the first couple of months after my youngest arrives and then plan to get back to work. License preferred not required just for trips to the park on warm days where weather allows. She and I both are an easy-going pair, couch potatoes if you will. Please feel free to ask questions :)

A little bit about us

Looking for a nanny to help care for our daughter, Rosalie (9 months). She is crawling & pulling herself up to stand. She loves music and “dancing” and is very curious about the world.

We need someone available for 4 hours at least 3 days, possibly 4 days, a week (up to 16 hours a week). As we are home we are always available, but are definitely needing dedicated daytime work hours, likely somewhere between 9 am to 2 pm depending on nap time.

We are hoping for someone who is able to handle playtime/learning time, help with meals (we are doing baby led weaning), diaper changes, and nap time. We will be doing sleep training soon so we understand that during the transition period we will likely need to handle nap time.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Harrisburg, PA

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Harrisburg, PA

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Harrisburg, PA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
