A little bit about us

We are a local family with two girls and we are looking for childcare on a regular basis. I work from home as an IT consultant and as such I regularly have to work with clients and am not able to tend to my children's needs. If I am not busy, I will be assisting... I just need backup and another pair of hands!

Our 2-year-old loves to go outside and play and our infant loves to be bounced on the exercise ball. There will be light meal prep and house work such as cleaning or organizing expected.

We are willing to work with multiple sitters to have full coverage so apply even if you cannot fulfill the entire work week.

Transportation not needed (we have a van), but guest parking is available. Bus stops nearby. No pets.

A little bit about us

Looking for someone that is comfortable watching my almost 4 year old daughter, 2.5 year old son and my 9 month old son (in my home in Oceanside), while I catch up on errands and some course study. Looking for someone 2-3 days a week for 3-4 hours in the morning time frame to early afternoon. I usually take my 9 month old with me since he sleeps most of the time, but wanted to add him in, in case you were also comfortable watching all 3 of them at once. My house is baby proofed and we have a secure back yard for them to play in. Only expectations is that you are comfortable changing diapers, received your Covid vaccinations and can feed them lunch some days, which will be provided for you.

My daughter is very friendly and comfortable around adults. My middle son is in his terrible 2’s and on occasion will throw a tantrum, but nothing a little timeout will not fix, and my 9 month old likes to crawl around, eat and sleep a lot.

Hoping to find someone with prior babysitting experience and will treat my kids as if they were their own.

A little bit about us

Would not start until 2022. Watch and care for infant in our home from 6:30 am to 1:30 pm 4 days a week and 6:30 am to 12:00 pm one day a week. Would be expected to love dogs and be comfortable with our two dogs being around. May be expected to attend toddler classes when baby is old enough. Looking for a long term person. We also have two other children but will have a live-in au pair that will take care of their drop offs/ pick ups and take care of the infant once your work hours end. On the days when our older kids are off from school you may be around the au pair and older children during your working hours and would be expected to interact with them. Definitely need someone that will be able to communicate with our live in au pair and us and take very good care of a new baby.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Aiea, HI

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Aiea, HI

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Aiea, HI? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
