A little bit about us

We are a joyful family with nine children — seven daughters and two sons — ranging from 9 months to almost 13 years old. Our beloved nanny of 5 years is moving out of state, so we are looking for help this summer and, ideally, someone who may want to grow into a long-term role. No one is ever responsible for all 9 kiddos at the same time! Except my lovely wife and I 😂

We have two roles:
Primary Summer Nanny: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Second Summer Nanny: More flexible schedule, approximately 25–30 hours/week.

There may also be occasional weekends and a weekly date night, likely Wednesday or Thursday.

Mom will often be home or nearby, sometimes taking 3-5 of the older children to our farm about 15 minutes away for summer homeschool or activities. We are looking for someone dependable, energetic, and comfortable with children from newborns through young teens.

A great fit would be someone who enjoys playing , going on walks, visiting the park, helping with little ones, and bringing a steady, cheerful presence to the home. Swim experience would be a wonderful bonus, as we have a pool at the farm.

For the right candidate, this could become a long-term W-2 position during the school year, generally Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., with full benefits including healthcare, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time off, and vacation.
We are also open to a unique long-term housing arrangement: a pseudo-live-in role where the nanny would have a full home to themselves on our farm, 15 minutes from our home, with room included. The nanny would be responsible for their own meals outside of work, though breakfast and lunch would be provided while with our family.

Compensation
Long-term role: $26+/hour, depending on experience, plus benefits

Secondary Summer role: $18–$22/hour,

We are a Catholic family, and we would love to find someone who is comfortable with our family culture, and desire for a long-term relationship with the right person.

A little bit about us

I work as a social worker for a healthcare tech company. I work from home and husband goes to his office three days a week. That is when I will need help for my daughter Meadow. We have a lab Irish setter mix named Charlie who is very sweet but excitable. I can manage most of his care as I am home, but he will be around the house. Meadow will be around six months old when we will start to need help. We are interested in Simone being very active with her to best support her developmental needs. She is bottle fed breast milk and I pump throughout the day to supply her with what she needs. I am a first time mom looking to build trust with a nanny who can become a good friend to the family and love meadow like we do!

A little bit about us

Hi! We are looking for a nanny to come to our home. We have a 15-month-old son and are expecting baby boy #2 at the end of April. The schedule would be on a 3-week rotating block. IE: week 1: Wednesday Friday Week 2: Monday Thursday Week 3: Wednesday Thursday. Hours have potential to be flexible but preferably early mornings (0730ish), 4-5 hours per day (8-10/week). We may be in and out of the house at that time. We also have two big dogs that are friendly, occasionally come up for pets and need the door opened to be let out to go potty. Let me know if this is something you're looking for. There is potential for a third day and we are hoping to find someone to join our family long term :-)

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Bull Valley, IL

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Bull Valley, IL

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Bull Valley, IL? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
