Hi! We’re the Kraus family. We have two wonderful children our daughter is 4 years old, and our son is 11 months old.

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a nanny who can join our family in July or sooner. Ideally, we’d love to find someone who can stay with us long term, caring for our son until he’s ready for all day school.

June/July: M-Th 8:00am - 3:30pm

Our Ideal Nanny
We value caregivers who are creative, nurturing, and engaged. Someone who enjoys arts and crafts, and outdoor play would be a wonderful fit. We’d also love a nanny who can take the kids on fun adventures and help with driving our daughter to school and extracurricular activities. Compensation is paid directly (No W2s).

A little bit about us

We are looking for someone to help with our 11 month baby full-time. We really only need someone full-time every other week and part-time on the other weeks, but are willing to pay you a full-time salary on the part-time weeks. Our baby girl is very easy and fun and loves to play. We have two small older dogs, so please be comfortable with dogs. Responsibilities would be taking care of the baby, letting the dogs outside, some light house keeping of mostly baby things and feeding the baby. Days and hours are slightly variable but Mondays and Fridays will be short days and Tuesdays and Wednesdays may be a little longer. Please contact me for specifics on the times/days. Thank you!

A little bit about us

I am currently pregnant with our first child, which is a boy. He is due at the end of February and I will be on leave until June. We are looking for a nanny share to start at that time. I work in the city and my husband works in Oakbrook. Right now I work 10 hours a day plus the commute but will be cutting that time down when our son arrives. We live in a great subdivision with a park across the street from our house. We currently do have a small hypoallergenic dog named Lulu. She is 9 and super friendly.

Hi! We are expecting our first baby end of December and will be needing a nanny three days a week starting in May. My husband and I both work half at home/ half in the office but one of us will typically be home as we switch off. We have a dog, Louie who is 8 and very sweet. All he needs is a scoop of lunch and to be let outside a few times. We are likely going to need a nanny Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays but can be flexible if needed.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Lisle, IL

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Lisle, IL

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Lisle, IL? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
