A little bit about us

We are looking for an in home nanny to watch our 3 youngest kids while we’re at work. We need someone 4 days per week (day off during the week does change). Times would be approximately 7am-5pm. The children are very sweet and well behaved. The older two get home from school around 3:30pm and are very self sufficient. They ride the bus and walk to the house, so no pick up or drop off is needed. We have the younger kids on a feeding and nap schedule. No house work is required, just making sure the kids are taken care of.

A little bit about us

We are looking for an in-home sitter starting mid August who is open to providing long-term, consistent care with flexibility depending on wake windows and my meetings (I work from home).

Must haves:
* Infant and toddler childcare experience
* Comfortable with dogs
* Vaccinated (COVID-19, Flu, TDAP)
* Age appropriate learning and activities during wake windows
* Does not smoke
* Can help with cooking/meal prep for our son’s meals and light housework (cleaning up his play spaces, his dishes, and his laundry)

About us
My husband Samuel is 40 and I am 33. Samuel is a teacher, and I work from home in marketing. We just moved to the area from the PNW, but Samuel is originally from Michigan. We are looking for someone to care for our son in our home. I'll be home but will need time in our home office to take calls and Zoom meetings. We have a 20 pound Brittany Spaniel mix so must be dog friendly.

We are looking for regular, part-time help to care for our energetic and adorable 6 month old daughter. My wife or I will be at home, working remotely and are hoping to find in-home help. We also have two small dogs so we would like to find a caregiver who is comfortable with pups (but will not need to provide their daily care).

A little bit about us

Looking for a nanny on Mondays and Tuesdays for our 3 year old daughter and 4.5 month old son! Hours would be 8am - 4pm. Our daughter goes to half day preschool on Tuesdays (8-11am) and then would come home and nap so her care would be very short on Tuesdays. We also have two dogs, who love to cuddle and give kisses, that would need to be let outside periodically.

I will be working from home and be available here and there. May need assistance with pick up from preschool on Tuesdays. Our son is sleep trained and naps frequently as well!

Both children are happy kiddos and pretty easy to care for.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Chelsea, MI

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Chelsea, MI

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Chelsea, MI? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
