A little bit about us

We are looking for a reliable part-time nanny starting in June/July. We have a sweet baby girl who will be 4 months in June. We would love to find a long-term nanny who can work with us for at least a year if possible. We would greatly appreciate someone who has prior experience with infants. The ideal candidate is someone who will bring great energy as well as ideas to entertain our baby and support her in reaching her milestones.

The pay is $16-18/hour, commensurate with experience. We will also pay for CPR certification if the candidate does not already have this training.

There will also be an opportunity for extra hours when we are in need of a babysitter in the evenings or on weekends, but this is in no way mandatory.

We are asking that our nanny be fully vaccinated against COVID, have their annual flu shot, and be a non-smoker. They must have their own transportation to our home. We have a cat and a dog. The animals will not be your responsibility, but small tasks such as letting the dog out in the backyard would be appreciated.

If this all sounds good to you, please reach out and I’d be happy to chat and answer any questions you may have!

A little bit about us

Hello. We have two children, a 2 year old boy and a 3 month old girl. We are looking for someone to come 3 days per week (8-5) while mom works from home. Duties would be 100% focused on taking care of the children. We are very interactive with them and would expect the same from our nanny. Our son likes to read books, play with toy animals, play outside, go for walks, and any type of creative/Hans-on play. We are looking for someone who truly loves children and has experience, preferable with children of their own.

A little bit about us

My husband Chris and I had our baby, Lou, on September 9th. He's wonderful! I am an elementary school counselor and Chris works from home in sales. We are looking for a part-time nanny to start caring for Lou in January when I return to work. We would prefer someone who could help out with light housekeeping, has their own reliable car, who does not smoke, who is comfortable with pets (85 pound, happy golden retriever named Sunny), who is CPR certified and who has experience working with babies. The days of the week would be flexible (three days though) and the times we are looking for would be between 8-4 (we are slightly flexible). We are looking for someone through the end of the [phone number hidden] school year(June 9th), but with a possibility of extending!

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Dearborn Heights, MI

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Dearborn Heights, MI

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Dearborn Heights, MI? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
