A little bit about us

Hi, I’m Jamie and I am looking for a nanny for my 4 year old son, Albert starting [phone number hidden]. He will need to be picked up at the bus stop MTThF and watched till Dad is off work.
-Hours may vary as one parent does not work a set schedule. Weeks will alternate between M and F as my schedule will alternate from work.
-We are looking at $150 every two weeks.
-Some days he will need to be fed dinner but food will always be supplied or ordered ahead of time.
-Being punctual is mandatory as he has to be met at the bus stop by 2:30. There will not be a set time or day and schedules will be given a week in advance or sooner.
- Helping with homework is not necessary but appreciated.
-Approximate hours for a full shift will be
2:30-8:30 but some days it could be 3:30-6.
-Bathing is up to judgment of sitter based on time allowance and conditions and will be communicated to parents if deemed necessary.
-Bed time is at 9 so unless an emergency happens nanny is not responsible for bedtime.
-We have a yard and as long as there is close supervision outside Albert can go outside but he must be sprayed with OFF before he can go play which we will supply.
-3-4 outside time or indoor game time. TV time is 4-6 which he can watch a full length movie or 4 episodes of his favorite show.
6-8 is dinner time and free time to color play with toys or work on schoolwork.
Please contact if you have the ability and skills to be on time and reliable.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Oxford, MS

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Oxford, MS

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Oxford, MS? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
