Help! We are looking for a part time nanny for our 10 month old daughter. We are needing someone Monday - Friday, 10 am - 4 pm. The position will be focused on caring for our baby, creating a safe and engaging environment. The nanny must be caring and patient. Must provide a stimulating environment for growth and development. This position would have light housekeeping work (only pertaining to our daughter). Dad does work from home. We do have a small dog and she would need to get used to the nanny. The nanny would not need to care for the dog as dad would be doing that. Please send me a message if you are interested!

A little bit about us

I am a very lucky aunt who has the privilege of having my brother and his 3 sons (18 month old and 8 month old twins) living with me after an abrupt separation. My brother has his children every other week for 7 days Monday morning to Monday morning. We are looking for a part-time nanny Mon-Thurs from around 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. Alternatively would need someone a minimum of 3 days every other week excluding Fridays. Since he only needs help every other week he is hopeful to find a nanny instead of utilizing daycare. He wants to find someone long term to provide stability and consistency for his 3 young boys. No other household duties will be expected… just wanting someone to nurture them with their growth and development and provide structure and routine day to day. Three babies under the age of 2 can be overwhelming so experience with multiples is a plus!

A little bit about us

My wife and I are expecting our first baby girl in May 2025 and are spending her first 3 months in Bismarck. In mid-August 2025 we're returning to Grand Forks so my wife can attend law school. We are looking for a full-time nanny, one with experience caring for infants, to cover 32-40 hours of childcare per week from mid-August to mid-December 2025, then from mid-January to mid-May 2026 (hour variance depends on my wife's class schedule). As I work remotely from home 2-3+ days per week, we have the flexibility to accommodate personal emergencies. The home environment is a clean 1000 sqft condo with one cat--we would prefer a nanny who is OK with a pet, but the cat can be shut in her room if she misbehaves. If possible, we hope to find someone who would also be willing to work with us in the same way for the [phone number hidden] school year.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Grand Forks, ND

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Grand Forks, ND

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Grand Forks, ND? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
