A little bit about us

We are seeking a warm, reliable full-time nanny/household helper. Responsibilities include childcare, light housekeeping, occasional laundry, simple meal prep, occasional special home projects, and helping keep our home organized and tidy throughout the day. Primary care is for our 2 mos old (we also have a toddler in a full-time school program and two independent teenagers). We are looking for someone who can start part-time (M-F, 7-11am) ASAP while I am on maternity leave and transition to full-time care starting Oct. 5, when I return to work. Our ideal candidate is nurturing, proactive, and has strong childcare references. We have a small, friendly hypoallergenic dog, so comfort with pets is important.

A little bit about us

We are looking a full-time career nanny/family assistant for our 5-year-old son, Harrison. Harrison is starting school at Brookfield Academy August 25th but we are looking to fill this role immediately. We are looking for someone who considers nannying their career and would ideally like to grow with our family for more than 1 year.

Schedule:

M/W/F: 8 AM–7 PM — morning care + school drop-off at 10 AM, household help while he is at school (laundry, errands, shopping, organization, etc.), pickup at 3 PM, then care until 7 PM.

T/Th: Morning care + 10 AM drop-off and 3 PM pickup + care until 7 PM, with off-duty personal time from 10 AM–3 PM.
(If majority of hours can be covered, please still apply as we can consider other help!)

We are a busy family and small-business owners, so we especially value reliability, emotional intelligence, professionalism, confidentiality, strong work ethic, excellent communication, honesty, confidence, flexibility, and a growth mindset.

Most importantly, we want someone who genuinely loves working with children and wants to build a meaningful, long-term relationship with our son.

About us: We’re a friendly, respectful, and organized family who values open communication and a calm, positive home. We live in Brookfield near Brookfield Square Mall. Responsibilities:

* Provide attentive, loving care for our infant

* Follow feeding, nap, and developmental routines

* Prior experience caring for infants

* Comfortable working in a home where both parents work from home

* Comfortable with our dog

* Non-smoker

* Strong references

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Brookfield, WI

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Brookfield, WI

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Brookfield, WI? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
