A little bit about us

My partner is a professional photographer and works out of the house about 50% of the time. I am an insurance broker and also work out of the house about 50% of the time. The problem is that our schedules are liquid and don't coincide from day to day and week to week.

We have one beautiful daughter that is currently 4 months old. She is a wonderful baby but does require stimulation and attention on a regular basis. We would be looking for someone to work either 4 to 6 hours per day on random days or perhaps one or two days a week 8 hours per day. We are flexible on all of those things.

We would like our Nanny to be responsible for diaper changing as well as playing with our daughter and reading her books and perhaps bathing and dressing as well.

A little bit about us

My husband and I live in New Berlin and are looking for a nanny to come and watch our 3 month old. Feedings, changing diapers, playing, reading and tummy time are what we would need your help with. Both my husband and I work from home and we are finding it challenging to work and take care of him during the day. We'd love you to help with light housekeeping - nothing crazy - just washing his bottles and bottle parts as they are used and sweeping when needed. Light tidying up. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and can work with minimal supervision - although we are always available if you have any questions or need help. We are flexible with the hours as well - feel free to reach out with any questions!

How to Find an Infant Care Job in New Berlin, WI

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in New Berlin, WI

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in New Berlin, WI? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
