A little bit about us

My husband owns his own neurologically based chiropractic office, and I work with Special Ed students at an elementary school.

We have two kids, a two year old boy who is so sweet, but he’s definitely a two year old boy- and lots of energy. But he loves cuddles, especially when he’s tired. We also have a currently two month old daughter who is a cuddle bug. She loves being held, just like any other two month old. She is so sweet, and she’s a pretty easygoing baby.

Hours would be flexible, and probably wouldn’t need to start until later fall 2023 when I go back to work fr maternity leave. Hours and days are TBD and can be discussed further.

A little bit about us

We are looking for someone to help manage our kiddos 3 days a week, up to 24 hours per week.

My husband works from home, and I am a barn manager & program director for a equine welfare nonprofit while also working on building my equine-guided learning and coaching practice! As my job takes me between Minnesota and Wisconsin and involves large animals, I'd prefer not to risk certain death of child or animal by bringing the kiddos with me.

The kids in question:

1. A 2 year-old girl born about 4 days before the state of Minnesota, where we just moved from, went into a pandemic-related lockdown. So, needless to say, she's a weird-o! Ha!

2. A 5-week old boy. He eats, sleeps, messes up a clean diaper, then does it all again. Not much else happenin' there.

There are horses - big and small - as well as a mule at our place as an added perk. Oh, and a couple of cats and 4 dogs.

So...pick us!

How to Find an Infant Care Job in River Falls, WI

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in River Falls, WI

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in River Falls, WI? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
