I will be at home (just upstairs) working from my computer. I have a 6 month old that loves to play a lot. He’s really easy going, smiles and is bashful and laughs a lot. I am only part time so that means a couple hours a day a few days a week.

A little bit about us

Hello! We’re a loving family in Parkersburg, WV, looking for a caring, experienced, and reliable nanny to help care for our 8-month-old son. He’s a happy, curious baby who enjoys music, books, and going on walks. We’re hoping to find someone who is nurturing, attentive, and enjoys engaging in age-appropriate activities. Ideal candidates will have infant experience and be comfortable handling light baby-related tasks like bottle washing, baby laundry, and tidying up toys. We’re flexible with a start date, ideally around mid-August, and are open to full-time or part-time depending on fit. Our home has two dogs, and we’re located near Worthington Golf Course.

The schedule would be Monday–Thursday 9 a.m.–4 p.m. and pay will be competitive and based on experience. If you or someone you know might be a great fit, please reach out. We’re looking forward to finding someone special to become a trusted part of our routine and family!

What is an Infant Nanny in Parkersburg, WV

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Parkersburg, WV? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
