A little bit about us

So in about February 2025 I will be working 4pm-4am on a rotating 12hr shift and my godson will need a babysitter during the daytime hours roughly between 8am-3pm while his mom works. We are looking early because we want to grow a relationship with his care giver as his developmental milestones are very important to us and we want to know we can trust you and that he can trust you.
A little about the lil guy, he is going on 4 months of age and he gets an adequate amount of tummy time and rolling practice in during the day. He loves his teething toys right now and we read to him at least two times a day.
As for responsibilities or expectations, we’d like an in home caregiver as we have a 3 year old goldendoodle too who would love tending to, however an at home daycare is also an open option to us as well.

A little bit about us

Our baby girl is due this month (January ‘23) and we are looking for someone to care for her in our home when I have to go back to work in the mid-April timeframe. I do fully work from home so I will be around if there’s any issues! The schedule is a little flexible and will depend on my workload, but I’m thinking something like M-TH, some Fridays, 8-12 or 1pm. But like I said it is flexible and will just depend how things go! We do have a dog as well so you’ll need to be okay with him being around!

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. What is an Infant Nanny in Janesville, WI

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Janesville, WI? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
