A little bit about us

I am a mental health therapist at a university counseling center. My spouse is a journalist and works from home. I work M-F 8-4:30, but my spouse has more flexible hours. Our daughter is currently a month old, but will be 5 months when I return to work in October.

Our ideal nanny would be bilingual and enjoy spending time outdoors. We don't follow any parenting style strictly, but we try to utilize Montessori materials and gentle parenting and would like our nanny to be familiar with these.

We are covid vaccinated and are only open to a nanny and family who are also vaccinated.

A little bit about us

Hello everyone!!! My name is Tonie, my husband’s name is Ola. We have 4 children 2 boys and 2 little princesses. I've been on maturity leave and I have transitioned back into work. I work for the state of Wisconsin as a caseworker, I will be working 80% in home and 20% out. I'm looking for a woman caregiver that is flexible and on call as my schedule changes daily. The duties will include: light housekeeping, and possibly running some errands. My children ages are 16-year-old boy, 12-year-old boy, 1-year and 4month old baby girls . My 16 year old is only home once a month on the weekend he goes to high school in Watertown, my 12 year old is self sufficient. The girls will be the main focus. I will need an overnight nanny maybe once or twice a month and weekends. The time may fluctuate. Thanks for reading hope I find someone great soon. ❤️❤️

A little bit about us

We are seeking a caring and experienced overnight nanny to provide exceptional care for our adorable 5-month-old son, Logan. As working parents, we require someone trustworthy and nurturing who can look after Logan during the night, ensuring his safety, comfort, and well-being while we get some much-needed rest.

Responsibilities:

Overnight Care: The primary duty of the nanny will be to watch over Logan during the night while he sleeps. This includes monitoring his sleep patterns, ensuring a safe sleep environment, and responding promptly to any needs that arise.

Bottle Feeding: Logan is currently on a bottle feeding schedule, and the nanny will be responsible for preparing and administering bottles according to the feeding routine we have established. This may include heating bottles, measuring and mixing formula, and ensuring proper hygiene and cleanliness.

Soothing and Comforting: As Logan is still a young baby, he may occasionally wake up during the night due to hunger, discomfort, or other reasons. The nanny should be skilled in comforting techniques, such as gentle rocking, soothing sounds, or swaddling, to help him fall back asleep.

Diaper Changing and Basic Care: The nanny will be responsible for changing Logan's diapers as needed throughout the night, ensuring he remains clean and dry. Basic care tasks, such as checking his temperature, ensuring proper clothing for comfort, and maintaining a clean sleeping area, are also expected.

Nighttime Routine: Establishing a calming nighttime routine can greatly help Logan with falling asleep and staying asleep. The nanny should be familiar with bedtime routines and be able to follow our guidelines to promote a peaceful and consistent nighttime routine for Logan.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Wauwatosa, WI

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Wauwatosa, WI

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Wauwatosa, WI? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
