A little bit about me

I have been providing care for children for over 18 years, with 10 of those years being in classrooms. I have worked with all ages, though I primarily work with the infants, toddlers and preschoolers. I have my CDA (Child Development Associate), and have completed courses in the Infant and child /Adult CPR , First Aid , Child abuse and neglect, Ages and Stages of child, and Development from Birth to age 8. In addition I also have training from American Red Cross in Dental first aid, preventing childhood injuries and communicable diseases, recognizing and reporting child abuse,.

In August 2015, I became a full time nanny, looking after an amazing child with special needs. I do everything between feeding and bathing him, along with giving him medication. In addition, I assist with the physical therapy process, placing him in various equipment to continually help develop his body strength. For me, a great part of being a nanny is not only the bond I have with the child , but the bond I have with the family. I'm not only a nanny to the little boy , but I share a great friendship with his brothers. They often come to me with their problems because they consider me to be the sister they never had.
I really enjoy working with kids because they are so full of life and joy. I remember my first year , and learning how important the profession truly was. I witnessed many children that were being abused and neglected, and childcare was the only place some of the infants and toddlers received any love, attention, guidance and nurturing. The children become such a big part of my life that it’s difficult to see them go, but I'm also very proud to see their growth, and take pride in knowing they're prepared for the next stage of life. For me, it's not just a job, but a growing exprince.

A little bit about me

Hi there! My name is Emily, and I'm a student at Kennesaw State University. I've been babysitting for friends, families, and through my church for several years, and I absolutely love spending time with kids. I'm a creative and responsible sitter, and I always find ways to keep things fun, whether it's through crafts, games, or outdoor activities. I enjoy being active and love getting outside, so your kids can always look forward to fun adventures. Whether it’s engaging in fun, creative activities or providing a safe, comforting environment, I strive to make every child feel comfortable and cared for. I’m happy to follow any specific instructions or routines that parents have in place and am well-versed in handling basic childcare needs, including meal prep, light cleaning, and ensuring safety at all times. I look forward to the opportunity to meet your family and provide a trustworthy, reliable service you can count on!
