A little bit about me

I personally have two kiddos ages 8 and 13….both boys.

I recently retired from a job that I worked at for 25 1/2 years and have been looking for something I can do thats flexible and part time.

I currently have one puppy that I take care of two days a week at lunchtime on the north side of Springfield. So my schedule would have to work around that.

If you have kiddos that you just need a couple hours help with 1,2,3 days a week I am available most Monday through Wednesdays, from about 9:30 to about 130 based on my kiddo school schedule. I do have to let my puppy friend out between 11 and one on Mondays and Wednesdays, however. 😊

Happy to meet with you to discuss your needs if you’re looking just for a little bit of extra help. I’m also a huge dog lover, so dogs do not scare me if you happen to have a large dog.😊

A little bit about me

Hi I’m Athena! I have been working with kids since I was old enough to have a job! I am currently a student at MSU studying Child Life Services. If you are unfamiliar with Child Life I describe it as comfort care for children in the hospital and similar settings! I love being adventurous and doing many activities with the kiddos in my care.

I have been working at various daycares the last two almost three years! I have loved all these experiences but I am looking for something where I could connect on a deeper level with the kiddos I work with!

I have taken every opportunity I possibly could to work with kids and develop my skills professionally including a few pre higher education certificates in child development!

As I will be in my 3rd year of undergrad I have a pretty flexible schedule with just 2 in person classes and I volunteer at the hospital weekly! Other than these times I am pretty much completely available during the week and I am willing to discuss weekends.
