A little bit about us

I have two wonderful little boys. Greyson is 9 and is autistic and non-verbal. He is able to make his needs known, usually through taking your hand and showing you what he wants or needs. He also loves to play outside. Max is 11 and is your typical boy, he loves playing with his toys and games.
I am looking for someone to watch my boys for about two hours after school and on breaks. This is NOT a full time position. I cannot afford to pay more than 15 an hour, that is not negotiable.

A little bit about us

We’re a small family of 3 with a 20 month old and a baby on the way. Daycare seems unsafe and unfit for my child so I thought I might try this out instead! My daughter is fun but shy at first. She’ll eat just about anything you put in front of her and takes a nap everyday. She is lactose intolerant so she can’t have almost anything with milk but other than that she’s very sweet and easy to care for and even easier to love.

A little bit about us

Hi. My Wife and I are trying to find a part time nanny for our girls. We for sure need help 2 days a week and a third is possible. Ideal days would be either Tuesday and Thursday, or Monday and Wednesdays. We would like someone who can create a schedule routine for the girls. We have a good backyard for playing and can buy whatever is needed for inside learning or activities. You will not need to drive them around at all. Hours would be something around 8-5. Our girls don't have any special needs but like to play a lot. You would be required to make meals and snacks for them and to keep the common areas clean. Thanks and looking forward to meeting someone great.

How do I find a nanny job in Fort Worth, TX?

Fort Worth is a vibrant city with a rich history and many family-oriented activities. From the Fort Worth Zoo to the Fort Worth Botanic Garden, there are numerous opportunities for nannies to engage children in fun and educational outings. Finding a nanny job in Fort Worth involves networking, using reputable job search platforms like Nanny Lane, and tailoring your resume to highlight your nanny responsibilities and experiences.

What are typical nanny responsibilities?

As a nanny, your duties primarily focus on the child's needs and wellbeing. This includes tasks such as preparing meals, helping with homework, planning educational activities, and providing transportation to and from school or extracurricular activities. For a more comprehensive list of nanny responsibilities, consider your potential employer's specific needs and expectations, which may include additional tasks such as light housekeeping or laundry.

What can I expect during a nanny job interview in Fort Worth, TX?

The nanny interview process typically involves an initial phone screening followed by an in-person interview. You may be asked a series of nanny interview questions relating to your previous experiences, your approach to childcare, and how you handle various situations. For example, how you would plan a day out at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History? It's important to come prepared to discuss your previous nanny duties and showcase your passion for childcare.

What is the typical nanny salary in Fort Worth, TX?

Nanny salaries can vary greatly depending on factors such as the number of children, the specific nanny duties required, and whether the position is part-time or full-time. In Fort Worth, the average nanny salary can provide a helpful benchmark when negotiating your pay.

How does the nanny contract and payroll process work?

A nanny contract is a crucial document that outlines the specific responsibilities, hours, salary, and other terms of employment. It's a valuable tool for establishing clear expectations between you and your employer.

When it comes to payroll, it's important to know that nannies are considered household employees, not independent contractors. This means that your employer is responsible for withholding social security and Medicare taxes. Using a nanny payroll service can simplify this process, ensuring that all taxes are properly calculated and withheld.

Why are background checks important for finding a nanny job?

Background checks are a key part of the process when you're looking to find a nanny job. Most families require a nanny to have a clean background check. This can include a review of criminal records, driving records, and past employment verification. It provides families with peace of mind about their child’s safety and can increase your chances of being hired.
