We are new parents to an amazing little girl. We are looking for a nanny starting in August and our daughter will be 7 months old. We have 3 pugs who will also be at home. My husband has a flexible schedule and works 2-3 days at home depending on the week.
We are looking for someone to work 7:30-5:30 on days where we are both in the office and 8:30-4:30 on the days he is home.
On they days it’s just the two of you, we ask that you let the 3 dogs out during the day.

How much do nannies make in Fort Worth, TX?
How do I find a nanny job in Fort Worth, TX?
Fort Worth is a vibrant city with a rich history and many family-oriented activities. From the Fort Worth Zoo to the Fort Worth Botanic Garden, there are numerous opportunities for nannies to engage children in fun and educational outings. Finding a nanny job in Fort Worth involves networking, using reputable job search platforms like Nanny Lane, and tailoring your resume to highlight your nanny responsibilities and experiences.
What are typical nanny responsibilities?
As a nanny, your duties primarily focus on the child's needs and wellbeing. This includes tasks such as preparing meals, helping with homework, planning educational activities, and providing transportation to and from school or extracurricular activities. For a more comprehensive list of nanny responsibilities, consider your potential employer's specific needs and expectations, which may include additional tasks such as light housekeeping or laundry.
What can I expect during a nanny job interview in Fort Worth, TX?
The nanny interview process typically involves an initial phone screening followed by an in-person interview. You may be asked a series of nanny interview questions relating to your previous experiences, your approach to childcare, and how you handle various situations. For example, how you would plan a day out at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History? It's important to come prepared to discuss your previous nanny duties and showcase your passion for childcare.
What is the typical nanny salary in Fort Worth, TX?
Nanny salaries can vary greatly depending on factors such as the number of children, the specific nanny duties required, and whether the position is part-time or full-time. In Fort Worth, the average nanny salary can provide a helpful benchmark when negotiating your pay.
How does the nanny contract and payroll process work?
A nanny contract is a crucial document that outlines the specific responsibilities, hours, salary, and other terms of employment. It's a valuable tool for establishing clear expectations between you and your employer.
When it comes to payroll, it's important to know that nannies are considered household employees, not independent contractors. This means that your employer is responsible for withholding social security and Medicare taxes. Using a nanny payroll service can simplify this process, ensuring that all taxes are properly calculated and withheld.
Why are background checks important for finding a nanny job?
Background checks are a key part of the process when you're looking to find a nanny job. Most families require a nanny to have a clean background check. This can include a review of criminal records, driving records, and past employment verification. It provides families with peace of mind about their child’s safety and can increase your chances of being hired.
