A little bit about us

Hello everyone! Our current sitter had to step down due to a family emergency and committment.

We are seeking a skilled, nurturing, energetic, patient, loving and dependable sitter to care for our curious and active 2 year old son in our home. Our toddler is very energetic. He loves to explore, listen to music, read, and play.

We are seeking someone who is knowledgeable about child development. I am very big on approach, and strategies and vocabulary used to redirect and teach him.

Bilingual (English and Spanish) is definitely a plus, as he has been learning Spanish.

Schedule: Four days out of the week. Usually 11am to 3pm. About 16 hours a week. Start and end times may change depending on my work schedule. Flexibility is a plus!

I can also base my work schedule around yours during the day, which is perfect for students taking a class or two. Schedule is something we can discuss further.

Location: San Antonio, TX. 78245. Near Potranco/211

Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities: Engaging and caring for our 2 year old: reading, playing, singing, exploring, etc. Following nap and feeding schedule. Occasional meal prep and simple snacks, cleaning up after the toddler (booster seat, toys, dishes..), and keeping play areas organized and tidy. His care and safety is of top priority.

Qualifications: Previous experience working with toddlers, CPR-First Aid cert, reliable transportation and punctuality. Upbeat, energetic, attentive, loving and patient. Non distracted (cell phone use), and no screen time. Comfortable with cameras and occasional parental presence. Seeking a long-term commitment.

*Sitter must have not have cats and not smoke (any kind of smoking) due to allergies*

How should I prepare for a nanny interview in San Antonio, TX?

Preparation for a nanny interview is key to landing the job. You should be ready to discuss your experience, skills, and approach to child care. Be prepared to answer common nanny interview questions about scenarios related to child safety, conflict resolution, and age-appropriate activities. Remember, interviews are not only about the family learning more about you but also about you getting to know the family.

What does a typical nanny interview process look like?

A typical nanny interview process usually involves an initial phone screening, followed by one or two in-person interviews. The family might ask you to interact with the children during one of these interviews. Some families may also request a trial period.
