A little bit about us

Single mom to an active sweet little 18 month old boy and a 15 year old girl who is often in her own teenage world lol. I WFH and I would like someone to come at least 3 times a week between the hours of 8a- 5p. My main goal is to find someone that my son is comfortable having some fun play time with/ learning shapes & colors/ exploring nature while I get work done. I don't need household duties done. I would just need someone that can feed, play, teach, and make sure my son is safe. Looking forward to meeting someone that can be an added addition to our family.

A little bit about us

I am going out of state May 10th. My husband and I are looking for a live in nanny that will be able to take my son to school downtown each morning (he needs to be there between 7am and 7:20 am). My husband will be the only person there, but he leaves for work between 2:30 and 3:00 AM. The nanny will have free room/board and will only need to be present in the house during the hours of 2:30- 7:00 AM. After the nanny has dropped off my son, the rest of the day is theirs (It's about 2 hours of actual work each morning and that's it). My son is 7 years old and loves asking all sorts of questions. He is very curious, and does an excellent job of getting ready each morning on his own once awoken. We live in a 2500 square foot home in the Northwest Territories area. No household duties are required other than cleaning up after yourself.

How should I prepare for a nanny interview in San Antonio, TX?

Preparation for a nanny interview is key to landing the job. You should be ready to discuss your experience, skills, and approach to child care. Be prepared to answer common nanny interview questions about scenarios related to child safety, conflict resolution, and age-appropriate activities. Remember, interviews are not only about the family learning more about you but also about you getting to know the family.

What does a typical nanny interview process look like?

A typical nanny interview process usually involves an initial phone screening, followed by one or two in-person interviews. The family might ask you to interact with the children during one of these interviews. Some families may also request a trial period. This is an opportunity for both parties to ensure a good fit before committing to a formal agreement, which is usually outlined in a nanny contract.
