A little bit about us

We have 2 daughters 21 months and 1 month old. We would like to hire someone to start while I am on maternity leave to meet/bond with the girls, establish a routine before I return to work.. we have had a live in nanny for the last 18 months and would like to explore the option of a nanny that lives outside the home.
The schedule would be 7:30 to 3:30 or 4:30 (my schedule changes every 2 weeks to get home either at 3:30 or 4:30) Monday thru Friday..
Olivía (our oldest daughter) enjoys reading, singing, dancing. We have Montessori toys here at the house that we use for learning. Lots of outdoor play items. In the past we have done field trips twice a week, so this is something we would like to eventually explore depending on comfort level.‘we have memberships to the doseum, zoo, aquarium etc. Olivía eats a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables. Her usual meals would consist of a protein (cheese, bacon, grilled chicken, etc.) cherry tomatoes, strawberries, raspberries, etc. She has milk 4 times a day and water when she wants. Her usual routine is up ~8 or 8:30, milk, playtime, breakfast, reading/music/art/possible field trip, lunch, nap (~90-120 min). Playtime until I get home.
Our younger daughter is a newborn so she is eating, sleeping, snuggling. etc. I would leave all of her bottles prepared and a loose outline for feeding/ napping. We use a dry erase board to track feeding times and diaper changes. We have all necessary resources available: bassinet, bouncer, swing, etc.
Duties would include basic safety needs for girls,’preparing Olivia’s meals, cleaning up after them, washing bottles, picking up toys, doing their laundry once a week. Being loving, patient and nurturing. Stimulating their development and growth. We are looking for an added invested member to our care team while we are at work.
Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) preferred as we are teaching the girls Sign Language, English and Spanish.

A little bit about us

My son is an energetic almost 4 year old that loves to move and play pretend. He goes to pre-K half a day and I would require someone with a reliable vehicle that can do school pickup. My mom lives at home but she is needing a break as well therefore simple house cleanup made by my son and occasionally filling pet food bowls is required. Simple toddler meal prep would also be required as i often get home after dinner time.

How should I prepare for a nanny interview in San Antonio, TX?

Preparation for a nanny interview is key to landing the job. You should be ready to discuss your experience, skills, and approach to child care. Be prepared to answer common nanny interview questions about scenarios related to child safety, conflict resolution, and age-appropriate activities. Remember, interviews are not only about the family learning more about you but also about you getting to know the family.

What does a typical nanny interview process look like?

A typical nanny interview process usually involves an initial phone screening, followed by one or two in-person interviews. The family might ask you to interact with the children during one of these interviews. Some families may also request a trial period.
