A little bit about us

My name is Liv, I work full time from home and my husband is attending the army’s IPAP program here in San Antonio. Our 15 month old, Juniper, is an absolute ray of sunshine that needs some one on one care during the week so that I can focus on work for a few hours each day. We will also be welcoming our second daughter, I am due at the end of June. I will especially need support in my postpartum period and potentially on-call when I go into labor so that Juniper can stay with someone at home while I’m in the hospital (negotiable and not necessarily a job requirement.)

A typical week would be Monday-Friday, 20-30 hours depending, and hours semi flexible. Your time here would involve one on one play with Juniper, basic meal and snack preparation for her, and general house maintenance if she is napping or independently playing. Primarily kitchen upkeep, vacuum/mopping, and putting away her clean laundry. We have two cats and two dogs in the house that I may ask you to feed on occasion, it is important that you are comfortable being around animals.

I need someone who is willing to help care for my two younger children. My mom watches my children while I am at work and I need someone to help her care for them while I am working. I need someone flexible and willing to work with two children under the age of 2.
The days and hours may change but it will all be during the work week between the hours of 8-5.
I have an 18 month old boy and a 3 week old girl. My son has a lot of energy and enjoys playing often. He has a huge play room and everything he needs! Just looking for a little extra help.
We do have a small dog that is friendly but barks at noises.

A little bit about us

I have a 3 month old sweet baby girl and getting ready to go back to work very part time. I’ll make my own hours, so very flexible and will coordinate with the right nanny. We have two frenchies who are super friendly, you don’t need to take care of them, but they will be around.

A little bit about us

I'm a single twin mom who just lost my free child care and need help immediately. My girls are two years old. They are full of energy and they love very easily. I also have a Labrador puppy who is fully potty trained. I would need someone to be at my house no later than 7am and watch the girls until no later than 6pm. The main thing I would need help with is potty training and meal preping. Overall, I am seeking a nanny who is patient and cooperative and can get along with my little ones very well.

How should I prepare for a nanny interview in San Antonio, TX?

Preparation for a nanny interview is key to landing the job. You should be ready to discuss your experience, skills, and approach to child care. Be prepared to answer common nanny interview questions about scenarios related to child safety, conflict resolution, and age-appropriate activities. Remember, interviews are not only about the family learning more about you but also about you getting to know the family.

What does a typical nanny interview process look like?

A typical nanny interview process usually involves an initial phone screening, followed by one or two in-person interviews. The family might ask you to interact with the children during one of these interviews. Some families may also request a trial period. This is an opportunity for both parties to ensure a good fit before committing to a formal agreement, which is usually outlined in a nanny contract.

In San Antonio, as with most nanny jobs, you'll need to undergo background checks to ensure the safety of the children you'll be caring for. Additionally, depending on the nature of the job (full-time, part-time, or summer nanny job), there might be additional considerations. For instance, a summer nanny job in San Antonio might involve taking the kids to popular summer spots like the Natural Bridge Caverns or the San Antonio River Walk. A part-time nanny job might require more flexibility in hours, while a full-time nanny job often comes with more responsibilities and therefore, a higher salary.
