A little bit about us
To introduce ourselves a bit, we are an interracial/interfaith family; I am of Indian heritage, while my husband is Caucasian with mixed European ancestry. As such, raising our children with an emphasis on diversity and inclusion are of great important to us. I am a licensed doctoral level psychologist, currently working as a consulting psychologist in nursing homes in the area, while my husband is a project manager is his family's custom home building business. My work affords me a reduced schedule so I would be home most days by 2:30-3pm. Additionally, my husband's work allows him flexibility if necessary. As such, we are only seeking care for about 5-6 hours a day on weekdays only.
About our children: Our son is nearly 3 years old and has been in enrolled in daycare since he was 5 months old. He is a highly energetic, curious, and carefree toddler who is rarely ever unhappy or upset. He is always on the go! We are presently expecting our daughter who is due in October.
What we are looking for: We are looking for a professional who can engage our children in structured, age appropriate activities to help foster their growth and development, preferably with a focus on STEAM learning. We are seeking an individual with a clean driving record to be able to drive the kids to local events, playgrounds, and such to help maintain appropriate social development. We are not expecting significant housework, but may require light cleaning (i.e. putting away kids' toys) and some cooking/meal prep (putting together breakfast/lunch/snacks) for the kids. We do have a cat in the home, who tends to stay to himself. We do not expect any pet care other than ensuring the cat does not get out of the house. *Nanny must be fully COVID vaccinated*
