My experience has been a true blessing and I can and will not complain at all! God has been so good to me. I have been a church nursery worker and I currently still do that at the present. I have had a lot of experience with infants and toddlers and they are my favorite. There is just something about their little cheeks after a good bath and a lotion massage that I cannot resist! I just want to smooch on them and cuddle and connect. I love it when they coo and try to talk to me with excitement. Only I know what they are truly trying to say to me of course and it is always a great conversation! I have done a lot of overnight baby nurse care for new mothers and I really enjoyed those times as well while mommy and daddy were trying to get some much needed rest. I have also been a Mother's helper and house manager all in one. I have re-organized and decluttered various rooms, ran errands, house sat, cared for their pets and plants while they were away and let in the contractors, signed for deliveries and wrote out their pay checks. I have done it all and I must say I like running a household and keeping up with the affairs of my home and others as a nanny. I have picked up grocery I have had several positions where I cared for 2 children full time an infant and toddler. I currently work on an as needed basis through an agency and I have been with them since Oct 2006. I am the type of nanny that likes to be one step ahead of your needs and I always go the extra mile for the family I serve. I am firm but loving. Playful and funny but safety awareness is first and foremost. I enjoy reading to children, doing arts and crafts and playing games that help them to learn. Also, in the past I have done lesson plans and daily activity schedules and organized play dated and fun activities. I have also had two families who's child needed developmental speech therapy and word comprehension tutoring. So, I was more than happy to work with the children on the lessons the therapist provided on a weekly basis. So because of this experience I have an eye and spirit that can detect learning and developmental delays in children. I insist on working with the parents and teachers on getting them ready for Pre-K and I am also great at potty training with no pressure on the child whatsoever. All children are different but one thing I have found is true. When you notice them waking up from a nap and the diaper is dry this lets you know that that muscle is developing and with that in mind it is time to start introducing the potty! My experience in the the past I have taken children to music classes and Gymboree and I have a good driving history as well. I am a musical person and I love singing songs and keeping them stimulated throughout the day which by the way promotes a much needed nap! This gives me some downtime as well and I like to use that time to quiet my mind and spirit and reboot. So that when they awake I am that same gentle and pleasant nanny. I have prepared lunch menus for a month so that we could rotate every week and the children could look forward to something different everyday and know what to expect. I have been studying natural food preparation for a few years and I am really experience on getting those veggies in the children with delicious recipes.I truly love what I do as a nanny and I would appreciate the opportunity to prove that I am one of the best this side of heaven. Understand Nanny Responsibilities in Lithia Springs, GA

Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.

Lithia Springs Nanny Interviews

Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:

  • Do you have experience being a nanny?
  • How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
  • What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
  • Are you open to a live in arrangement in Lithia Springs? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
  • Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
  • Do you have any references?
  • Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Lithia Springs?
  • Do you have a driver’s license in GA? Do you own a car?
  • What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
  • What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?

During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around nanny responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming! And of course, as you learn how to hire a nanny, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
