A little bit about me
My name is Peyton, I am 21 years old and I currently attend the University of Missouri. I am currently pursuing two degrees in Architecture and Fashion Design with a minor in Business, which means I have a passion for arts and crafts and anything that overall, creatively stimulates the mind! I love to teach kids to read and write so tutoring is always an included bonus with me. I have 6 years of experience babysitting/nannying and have the most experience working with newborns to 7-year-olds but will work with older kids if needed. I would say my best attribute is that I'm an excellent role model. Setting an example for the youth is detrimental to their growing experience, and I hope to teach kids that being kind, obedient, and respectful can be accomplished while also still having fun! I am currently available to work full-time during the summer and am very flexible and will try to accommodate any of your needs. I hope you give me the opportunity to care for your children!

relationship with those boys. I'd describe my personality as nurturing, responsible, and lovable. I enjoy how simple children are in a sense that they really just want someone to listen to them and spend time with them. In my spare time, l love to go to the library and drive to different parks. I also love finding new places in the city to eat. I have had a lot of practice with calming children down and working through conflicts, but it is always a great help when the parents hold their children responsible so we can work as a team! I'm skilled in empathy, problem solving, and organizational skills!

Understand Nanny Responsibilities in Mableton, GA
Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.
Mableton Nanny Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a nanny?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
- What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
- Are you open to a live in arrangement in Mableton? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
- Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Mableton?
- Do you have a driver’s license in GA? Do you own a car?
- What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
- What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around nanny responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming! And of course, as you learn how to hire a nanny, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
Daycare vs. Hiring a Nanny
Choosing between putting your child in daycare and hiring a nanny can be a tough decision. While nannies are often more expensive, they provide individualized attention and flexibility. Daycares, on the other hand, prioritize socialization. Our Nanny vs Daycare guide can help you determine what's best for your family.
