A little bit about me
I have certifications in CPR and Food Handling, and I bring around two years of hands-on experience working with children in a childcare setting. I love creating safe, nurturing spaces where kids can grow, learn, and be themselves. I'm excited to keep growing professionally and personally, and I'm always open to new opportunities that help me do just that.
Cheers and smiles,
Lala 😊

A little bit about me
I'm Erica and I'm interested in helping you with your childcare needs.
I'm fully vaccinated, have reliable transportation, and don't mind doing light housework (taking out garbage, laundry, and dishes).
I'm a former lead toddler teacher transitioning to private childcare as a nanny. I had worked at the same center for nearly six years with toddlers aged 1-2, but I also have experience working with3-year-olds and potty training.
I also have some infant experience. The child in my care was seven months when I started with the family. She is now 2 (and I still have the privilege of working with my wonderful weekend family!)
Some fun facts about me: I love furry babies (particularly bunnies), I got married to my best friend during COVID, and we just moved to Lynnwood. So far, we love it here!
If I sound like your cup of tea, please send me a message!
Thanks! Looking forward to hearing from you!

Understand Nanny Responsibilities in Lynnwood, WA
Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.
Lynnwood Nanny Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a nanny?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
- What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
- Are you open to a live in arrangement in Lynnwood? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
- Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Lynnwood?
- Do you have a driver’s license in WA? Do you own a car?
- What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
- What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around nanny responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming! And of course, as you learn how to hire a nanny, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
Daycare vs. Hiring a Nanny
Choosing between putting your child in daycare and hiring a nanny can be a tough decision. While nannies are often more expensive, they provide individualized attention and flexibility. Daycares, on the other hand, prioritize socialization. Our Nanny vs Daycare guide can help you determine what's best for your family.
