Hello! Here is my story in a nutshell: I would describe myself as being a happy-go-lucky person with a huge caring heart that enjoys the simple things in life. Funny, caring, compassionate, dependable, trustworthy and patient are all words that my family and friends would use to describe me. I pride myself on my honesty and integrity, as well as my great sense of humor. I have raised 4 children of my own, but I am now an "empty-nester". I began babysitting at age 14, at which time I cared for newborn twins on a regular basis I had numerous babysitting jobs all throughout high school. After graduating, I attended Mid-State Technical College and completed a degree in Early Childhood. I have worked in many day cares, as well as implementing the preschool program in the church I attended. I have also worked in public schools for a total of 15 yrs. as a teacher's assistant. I miss spending time with and caring for children and I would love to secure a position as a nanny.

I was a live-in nanny for four months for a family with one seven year old girl. It was my job to wake her, prepare breakfast and feed her, give her meds, get her dressed and ready, take her to school, pick her up from school, sometimes take care of her in the evenings. I also kept the house tidy and took care of the dogs. I finished there when the family situation changed, and they didn't need a nanny anymore. This last summer, I was a nanny for a different family with a four year old boy and a ten year old girl. I worked weekdays from 8am to 5pm. I had one or both kids interchangeably throught the day, playing with them, preparing meals and feeding, transporting to various activities and play dates, and just hanging out. In August, we went on a two week vacation where I worked for them, taking care of the kids. I finished there because I moved to a new community for college.

I love being a nanny because every day is different. While I do do have routines, I love the flexibility to be able to go out on a new adventure every day. Learning and exploring the world through the eyes of a child are truly the best, and no two days of growing are the same. I have children of my own&I have so much love to give.I am 3 credits away from being a Registered Nurse. I have worked in the Medical Field for 10 years and I love it. I love what I do because I am truly making a difference in the lives of every family I work with weither it be in a nursing home, hospice,or being a nanny, I’m not just a clock-watcher, a time card-puncher, a faceless name at some big company. I matter. I am my charge’s everything while Mom and Dad are gone or while the family cant be around or if someone may not have family. And in ten years, after I’m no longer on their payroll, they’re still going to remember me and look back with fondness on our bond and how I impacted their lives. My availability if flexiable, although weekends I would need off for time with my family.
