A little bit about me…

My husband and I have adopted 5 children who are all grown. We are presently rearing our 12 year old grandson. We were foster parents for DHR for approximately 20 years, caring for approximately 30 children, most of them infants. I have a lot of experience with "preemies" and would sometimes take care of them until they were strong enough to move on to other homes. We were also therapeutic foster parents for about 5 years. I have taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School for many years. I am presently licensed as a substitute teacher in Shelby County . In order to be licensed as a foster parent and recently as a substitute teacher, I have had an extensive background check. I am updating this profile in December 2008. I have been employed as a nanny for the past two years for a family with two little girls who are now 3 and 4. Due to their family circumstances the mother and children are relocating to another state sometime shortly after the first of next year, therefore I will be available for another position. I have had a very positive relationship with the family and I feel sure they would be happy to speak with any of my prospective employers.
