A little bit about us
We have a smart, silly and loving 6 yr old girl with significant physical disability who needs a personal care provider during school.
We are looking for a full time 1 to 1 aide to help her navigate and access school (assisted sitting, walking, standing), curriculum activities (eg painting, cutting, writing) and self-care needs (assisted eating, hygiene). We have private specialists (PT, OT, SLP) and the goal is to find someone willing to learn from and collaborate with this team and her teachers to ensure she is enabled to participate across school activities.
The right fit is a team player, eager to learn, with a gentle and friendly demeanor and the right mindset, always starting with a presumption of competence and capability.
Experience in OT or PT, and experience in a school setting are a bonus. Minimum 1 full school yr commitment.
