Schedule:
Monday – Friday: 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Weekends: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (or varying based on family needs)
Must be available to travel with the family for day trips and vacations as needed (travel stipend provided).
Responsibilities:
Provide attentive care and supervision in the home and community settings
Engage the child in developmentally appropriate activities
Support communication needs using alternative communication methods (e.g., communication devices, picture exchange systems)
Assist with daily routines, including meals, hygiene, and sensory regulation activities
Implement strategies to support social skills, independence, and positive behavior
Accompany the family on outings and vacations as needed
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year experience working with children with special needs (experience with autism preferred)
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
Ability to follow care plans and implement therapeutic strategies
Flexible schedule and willingness to adapt to changing family needs
