A little bit about us…

Need help 1-2 days/wk, 13hrs/day. I’m an RN so I’m flexible on which days I can work to help accommodate your schedule as well. I have 3 young boys, my oldest will be starting full time kindergarten in the fall. Will need help with drop off/pick up. We also have an indoor French bulldog, Molly. Light housework, just to help keep things orderly. Pick up the toys used throughout the day, a load of dishes, or fold a load of laundry as needed. I’m a newly single mom, needing help long term. If you’d like to meet and see if we are a fit please reach out!

A little bit about us…

I have two autistic boys, ones high functioning and the younger is in the middle with lower communication skills. My younger one is working on potty training still. Both are wonderful but I'm biased. I need someone completely reliable and that can work from 4pm-7:30pm Mon-Saturday with either Wednesday or Thursday off as well as every Sunday. You will need to be comfortable changing diapers and around special needs children.

How to Find a Special Needs Nanny Job in Idaho

Start by creating your profile so that families can quickly learn about you. Once your profile highlights your skills and personality, you can message families to find the right nanny job for you.

What is a Special Needs Nanny Job in Idaho

A special needs nanny focuses on caring for children with special needs. You’ll be responsible for creating individualized care and activities that combine both consistency and stimulation. The family you’re caring for will have schedules and preferences to share with you to ensure that their child receives the best care possible.

Preparing for a Special Needs Nanny Job Interview in Idaho

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is a special needs nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this diagnosis?
  • Can you tell us about your experiences with children with special needs?
  • Do you have any Idaho special training?
  • What would you do if an emergency arises?
  • How strictly do you usually follow a schedule with children with special needs?

At this stage, you should come prepared with references from past special needs nanny jobs. It is a great opportunity to see how you fit in with the family and ask any questions about the responsibilities or compensation. To ensure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities; we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract.
