A little bit about us
The boys are 2, 5,and 8. All three boys are very active and want a nanny who wants to do crafts with them, take them to parks and play. They love to be active outside as much as possible.
The two year old is obsessed with cats, cars, crafts and trains. He also really enjoys cleaning, which I hope continues to as he gets older, lol. He's shy at first but loves those in his inner circle fiercely.
The five year old has Down syndrome but is very typical in many ways and doesn't require any special training. He is fully included at school and enjoys horses, Duplos, Firetrucks and books. He is still working on speech but gets his point across and is very social. He's very small for his age and many people think he's a twin of the 2 year old.
Our oldest is a very smart and creative child. He loves dinosaurs, creating stop motion videos, LEGOs, card/board games, making up stories, and singing. He enjoys helping with his brothers. He has the inattentive subtype of ADHD (not the more common hyperactive), which is partially why he's so creative. I joke that he's like a tiny version of an absent minded professor.
The nanny would need to feel comfortable driving the kids to activities or therapies, help with the kid laundry and help keep their play spaces tidy.
You would be with our middle child in his kindergarten classroom about 8 hours a week while the little one is in preschool during the school year. The school is a private religious school. During the school year the nanny would have only the 2 year old about 70% of the time, be in classroom with the 5 year old about 20% of the time and have all three boys about 10% of the time. During the summer and school breaks you'd have all three.
