A little bit about us
Ashton is a wonderful, ‘sweet & salty’ (we call him) very intelligent young man. He is non-verbal, has a communication device and uses some sign language. If you know ASL that’s a bonus! We can teach what we know, would like to learn and teach him more signs. He’s going through some tough times right now and behaviors are high. Physical aggression is under control but there are other behaviors we need help with and need someone who’s not afraid to be firm (effectively) in their convictions and prepared for aggression. Although he doesn’t get aggressive with new people, once he’s comfortable with you, he may test you. Most aggression is towards himself and us but that has decreased (at this time). Mom will be present, but needs assistance. Note: he is large and strong, if you’re tiny or have back problems (etc) this is probably not for you. He needs to be effectively pushed out of his comfort zone to do new things, and to leave for appt’s, etc; that sometimes triggers behaviors and aggression.
Pay starts at $17 per hour and if it works out we can discuss an increase in a few months. **Hours will also increase if a good match!
If interested and feel you’re a good match, please contact us. We’d love to chat! Thanks!
