A little bit about us

I need a part-time nanny, from the last couple of weeks in April, and then the 1st week of May, I’ll need a fulltime nanny until I go to give birth to my third baby, to care for my two toddlers for the 5-6 days that I’ll be in the hospital. I have a medical condition which requires me to stay in the hospital after I give birth with my newborn for at least 5 days after delivery so that the pediatrician can monitor my newborn. I need someone who is CPR certified for INFANTS and for children and I need someone who works well with kids with behavioral issues who is very patient and plays with my kids a lot and spends a lot of time with them! I need a nanny who has a valid drivers license, and can drive my children to and from necessary places, including appointments etc while I’m gone, which I will get approval for and give you the necessary information to take them. I’m comfortable with you keeping them in your home if that’s what you prefer but I would feel much better if you could stay in my home throughout the duration you’ll be caring for my children, and I also would appreciate it if you could please do cleaning and tidying and cooking for my children while you are here. We do not currently have any pets but if you own a pet, you’re welcome to bring yours with you if they’re good with kids, just note that we do not have a fence so you’ll need to watch them or keep them on a leash while here or on a tie when outside if they’re prefer outdoors but pets are always welcome inside, we just ask you keep after them and clean up their messes etc!

Preparing for a Special Needs Nanny Job Interview in Ohio

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is a special needs nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this diagnosis?
  • Can you tell us about your experiences with children with special needs?
  • Do you have any Ohio special training?
  • What would you do if an emergency arises?
  • How strictly do you usually follow a schedule with children with special needs?

At this stage, you should come prepared with references from past special needs nanny jobs. It is a great opportunity to see how you fit in with the family and ask any questions about the responsibilities or compensation. To ensure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities; we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract.
