A little bit about us
I am looking for an experienced in-home paraprofessional / special needs caregiver who can provide reliable support during the times when Lucy is not in therapy or other scheduled programs and I am unavailable due to work. I have equal split custody of my children every Wednesday and Thursday, and alternating Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The role includes:
- Pick-up and drop-off as needed based on Lucy's therapy/school schedule, I am generally available to drop-off Lucy at her school, and to drop-off and pick-up Leo.
- Personal care assistance (meal preparation, bathroom support, dressing, hygiene) for Lucy
- Structured play, emotional regulation support, and enrichment for Lucy
- Helping maintain consistency and familiarity in Lucy's daily routine.
Compensation will be handled through a combination of insurance reimbursement for eligible services and competitive private pay.
The ideal person has strong experience with autistic children, patience, creativity, and the ability to blend caregiving with gentle, structured teaching where the opportunity presents itself.
