A little bit about us

My daughter’s name is Lucy and my son's name is Leo. Leo is enrolled at a private school in BA M-F with a pretty flexible schedule for his pick-up and drop-off. Lucy is diagnosed ASD and enrolled in a school specializeing in special needs M-Th from 8:30am-1:00pm when the semester begins in August, right now she is not enrolled in anything. Lucy is also being enrolled in several therapy programs as availability permits, though no openings have presented themselves yet.

I am looking for an experienced in-home paraprofessional / special needs caregiver who can provide reliable support during the times when Lucy is not in therapy or other scheduled programs and I am unavailable due to work. I have equal split custody of my children every Wednesday and Thursday, and alternating Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The role includes:
- Pick-up and drop-off as needed based on Lucy's therapy/school schedule, I am generally available to drop-off Lucy at her school, and to drop-off and pick-up Leo.
- Personal care assistance (meal preparation, bathroom support, dressing, hygiene) for Lucy
- Structured play, emotional regulation support, and enrichment for Lucy
- Helping maintain consistency and familiarity in Lucy's daily routine.

Compensation will be handled through a combination of insurance reimbursement for eligible services and competitive private pay.

The ideal person has strong experience with autistic children, patience, creativity, and the ability to blend caregiving with gentle, structured teaching where the opportunity presents itself.

A little bit about us

My son has difficulty with daycares, they overstimulate him, but does well with Pre-K. Meeting someone that can be calm with him. He gets emotional easily, so has to have someone that can help him breathe through his emotions. Need someone that can be here in the mornings for me to leave to work, and be able to take him and drop him off at pre-k. And in the afternoons pick him up. Drop off is at 8: 15 a.m., and pick up time is 2:20 p.m.
