A little bit about us
Responsibilities would include general childcare while I am at my own appointments or required to rest. Pick-up and drop-off from school and therapy appointments. Helping children with light chores and preparing lunches. Outings would be a bonus.
12 year old has a feeding tube. He manages it quite well on his own, however he requires assistance to stay on schedule with meds, hooking up and refilling pump. He is perfectly content to play with friends, play games of all sorts, and will rarely be caught without headphones on typically listening to the audiobook of the day.
Our 8 year old is our carefree, friendly, rule follower. She loves to read and enjoys getting lost in whatever she is doing. She is "mildly" autistic and can occasionally become overwhelmed or lose her words. She is however, very easy to redirect and calm. Being our social butterfly, she would be your best friend and quickest to adapt.
Our soon to be 6 year old is a chatty goofball who loves to make people laugh. He is facing major surgery in a a couple months which has been the major catalyst to hiring full time help. While there is little recovery from this surgery (he has had twice before), it does lend itself to exhaustion and less time and focus on the older children. He will likely need to be virtual school for the first month or so of school this year. However, as a previous homeschool family this is not a novelty in our home. The biggest issue with this little one, is due to his medical issues he is not yet entirely potty-trained.
