A little bit about us

Hello! We have a 3-year-old son (almost 4 years old) who has Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) and is high functioning Autistic (ASD). We are happy to teach you how to identify and meet his sensory needs and do not expect you to know right away. We are looking for someone part time to watch him for 2 days a week (Thursday and Friday). He has school on Thursday until 1pm and Friday from 12pm to 3pm, so we would need someone to pick him up Thursday and care for him until the evening and who can take care of him all of Friday, including drop off and pickup from school. We do have cats and while we do not need care for them, hopefully you’re comfortable with pets! Please message me if you are interested or have any further questions! Our summer schedule is likely to change but we do not have a clear picture of that just yet.

A little bit about us

Our two-year-old daughter, Tru, is in the MDCP (Medically Dependent Children Program), and we are seeking a caregiver to provide respite care. We need someone who can play and interact with Tru to further her developmental skills to improve her speech, cognitive function, and motor skills. She has a tracheostomy, is vent dependent, and has a GJ tube for feeding. She has 24-hour nursing care M-F, and either/both mom and dad will be at home, except for the occasional date night. We have a budget of up to 30 hours a week at $10.25 an hour, which will be paid through a third-party company. There is no set shift, but care will mainly be needed from afternoon to evening (i.e., 3-8 pm) during the week on an as-needed basis and during the mornings on Sunday. The caregiver must be CPR certified but does not have to perform any nurse-related services. We also have a large breed dog, but he is not aggressive.

Tru is currently receiving speech, physical, and occupational therapy. Since Mom and Dad work full-time, we hope someone can come in and work with Tru outside of her therapy sessions to give her the best chance to succeed!!
