We're looking for a sitter to help care for our two children.
The ideal candidate must enjoy spending time with active and highly energetic children, have prior experience working with kids, and possess excellent verbal communication skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for being with our 9yo homeschooled ADHD student after his lessons, beginning at 12:30pm and picking up the younger child from school in Bullard, TX at 3:15pm. This role may also include taking the younger child to school in the mornings. We live in South Tyler and care will be provided in our home.
Estimated hours are approximately [phone number hidden]pm for after school care and 7:30-8:30am for before school care.
In the afternoon the sitter will be responsible for helping the children with homework in different subjects, such as reading, math, and writing, and ensuring that they are able to practice their academic goals every day. This requires some formal experience with teaching or tutoring 1st through 5th grade.
A Spanish speaker would be great as they are learning Spanish.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will take the children to appointments for doctor visits, play dates, extracurricular classes, and be available for the rare emergent backup, sick days, school closures, late night, etc.

Hello, my son is a very sweet boy who is non-verbal autistic. He really enjoys playing and being outside! He receives home health speech therapy, occupational therapy, and also attends ABA therapy as part of his schedule. I prefer someone experienced with children with ASD and would be open to a possible week on/week off schedule with full time hours M-F. The approximate schedule would be TWF 8:30am - 6:30pm, MR [phone number hidden]pm. Pick up from ABA therapy on TR at 11:00 would be required. Other responsibilities would include reading and practicing activities from therapies for a portion of the day, engaging in playtime with him, meal and snack prep, and baths for evenings.
