We are seeking an experienced & compassionate live-in nanny to care for our 11-year-old son, who has been diagnosed with ADHD with hyperactivity & has a history of severe childhood trauma.
The ideal candidate will have professional experience working with children with similar needs & training in trauma-informed care & behavior management techniques.
Responsibilities include:
- provide day to day care, support, & supervision to ensure the child's safety & well being.
- implement structured routines to promote stability & consistency.
- utilize methodologies for managing ADHD symptoms & emotional regulation, including positive reinforcement strategies , sensory management, & mindfulness techniques.
- support the child in completing schoolwork, organizing tasks, and developing independent skills.
- cook his meals, takes to/ from appts.
- the ability to travel

Hours and Schedule:
Depending on the needs of the family and the candidate, the hours can be flexible and range from 20-40/week. Perfectly adaptable for anyone attending school. Weekday needs are approximately 1:30pm-8:00pm. while weekends extend from 9:00am-8:00pm (or later) but do not need to be longer than 8-hour shifts. There will be travel and occasional overnight childcare. Family and candidate will work together on coordinating their weekly schedule in advance.
* Child is high risk for complications from respiratory infections so must be current with COVID-19 and Flu vaccines.
